First paragraph is about the Tyson's Reef, 1870. Opposite the Gasworks, it yielded large quantities of gold. Near the Tyson's is the Brownlee Reef. The Bendigo United Cricket Club was initially called the "District Club" at its inception in 1853. Its name changed to Bendigo United in 1861.
