Photograph. Colour photograph of Heather Reeves (nee Pain) standing on the front verandah at home in Golden Square, holding a new staff donated by Sir George Lansell in 1956 at the Memorial Hall at a special presentation gathering. The donation was greatly appreciated. Heather was Pipe Major of the Bendigo Ladies Pipe Band. The band made a guard of honour for Heather Pain's wedding to Neil Reeves at St. Paul's Anglican Church Bendigo in 1957. The band then led the wedding party up the street to Mitchell Street. Long sleeves lined with yellow and black striped cotton fabric. Body of blazer unlined. Three pockets on front-one on either side at hip level. One LHS breast pocket with red embroidery shield containing thistles, leaves and crossed swords. The pocket has a 1cm tartan bans across the top. Copy of a newspaper article titled Gully celebrates. The community staged its second annual Long Gully Live concert and was given a $20,00o cheque to help it building family park. Member for the North Western Province, Ron Best, presented the cheque to the City of Greater Bendigo at the Long Gully Live concert. He said the State Government funding would assist the redevelopment of the Chum Street Reserve Park in Long Gully. Entertainment included Golden City Pipe band, Zenyth, Anne Conway, Voice Pop Foibles, Steve Roscoe and Anonymous Bosch.
