In Henry’s arrangement, it is the part of the Old Testament devoted to reflection, praise, instruction and spiritual experience. That makes it very different in tone from Volume 2, which is mainly narrative history. It should be noted that in the nine-volume edition, Volume 3 is the section from Job to Song of Solomon.
