Ethel Eileen (Eileen) Scantlebury was the youngest daughter of Dr George Scantlebury who worked as a doctor in Linton before moving to Cheltenham in 1889 with his wife Catherine (nee Baynes) and family. Eileen was born in Cheltenham in 1899. She completed her university education in 1919 and in the same year married Dr Charles Kellaway, who afterwards became the Director of the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute for medical research.Wedding portrait taken in garden setting showing bride, groom and three attendants.
