The ball was held in the Parish Hall in October 1947. This was the first debutante ball held in Linton after the end of World War II. Organisers were Mrs H. D. Seymour, Head Teacher, Violet Street State School. The Occasional Address was given by Mr. L. J. Pryor Superintendent of Teacher Education.
