Margaret Jane Porter, born 1867, and her sister Julia Ann Porter, born 1884, were the daughters of David Porter and Mary Nihill, of "The Pines", Newtown. Julia married Henry (Harry) O'Beirne in 1919. Allan McKinnon donated this photograph from the school, where it had hung for some time. It was donated because of fear of it possibly being thrown out.
