On Friday the 26th and Saturday the 27th of May, 1978, an art and craft exhibition was held as a fundraising event in support of the Rheumatism and Arthritis Association of Victoria (RAAV). Titled, "Living with Arthritis - Aids to Daily Living", the exhibition was held at St Andrew's Parish Hall in Brighton. A second "Living with Arthritis" exhibition was held two months later in Footscray. Henceforth, the respective events were commonly referred to as "the Brighton exhibition" and "the Footscray exhibition". A fashion parade and panel discussion were also held as part of the two-day event. In this photo, Mickie Ross attends to her greeting card display at the Aid to Daily Living art & craft exhibition. The 10th AGM of the Rheumatism and Arthritis Association of Victoria (RAAV) was held at the College of Nursing, Australia, on the 1st of August, 1978. In this photo, Mickey Ross addresses members of the Association from the podium during the event. Standing behind her is Executive Committee member, Frank Wyer. NB: The information on the inscription is incorrect.
