Destination roll that was used in Malvern Depot trams, Melbourne, until the late 1960's. Roll on linen, with white letters on black background. Has stencilled words "STOP" on top and bottom of rolls, stencilled miniature destination on rear to assist driver to locate the destination. Letters approx. 140 high. Roll consists of an unpainted section 535 long at top and 360 long unpainted section at base. Painted section approx. 7.2m long. Roll has oil and dirt stains in the middle portion, but the last three destinations are very worn with the black paint in a deteriorated condition. Two page Gestetner printed list, foolscap sheets titled "MMTB Route Numbers - Tram Routes", giving the list of route numbers for all numbers to 99 including A to E, showing where numbers and most letters not used at the time. Does not give bus route numbers. Used up to the renumbering of Oct. 1970. For the route listing that replaced this list see Record Number 360. Mounted black and white photograph of a group of 25 men in suits in a formal group photos. Mounted onto light grey cardboard mount with a dark grey band and is embossed. Some of the group appear to have returned servicemen badges. Made by Darge studio, 360 William St Melbourne Phone F4497. On rear is the Darge Studio stamp with number "35318" and date stamp 5 Feb 1937. Some pencil marks on rear that do not give any further details.trams, tramways, staff, personnel
