In 1994, the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria (AFV) held a "Warm Up For Winter Dance" as a fundraising event during National Arthritis Week. The dance, which was held at the San Remo Ballroom, had a multicultural theme and featured performances by professional dancers and dance troupes. In late 1991, the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria honoured water exercise leader, Elizabeth Roche, with an Associate Membership.
