The papers were compiled by him during his research for his book. The history of Mt Beauty is interesting as the town was unique as it was built by the SECV for their employees working on the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme. The histories of the clubs are an example of their development from the 1950s in a remote country town, giving an insight into the lives of the people living there.
