The parcel of land is one acre in size being Allotments 6 and 7 of block Number 12 in Belfast with one side fronting William St one of the main streets in the original Port Fairy grid. There are two copies of this document.The significance of this document lies with the names of the people involved and the time of which it was enacted, being one of the earliest transactions after the settlement of Port Fairy..
