King's Colour - 5th Battalion AIF. Silk material. Design is of 'Great Union' flag as commissioned by the UK military (from the College of Arms) specifically for use on colours. The saltires of St Andrew and St Patrick are of the same width (4.5 inches) with a fimbriation added as in the original of the 1801 pattern Union Flag. The St George cross is 9 inches wide.
