Allan Stanley Kohler No 210028 (born Canterbury Vic, enlisted Pearce WA) in the RAAF on 25.9.1939 age 21 as a Fitter. Postings across Australia; There were 10 including Townsville embarking from there on 10.2.1944 disembarking at Lae on 21.2.1944, from there to the following, Nadzab, Cape Glouster, Tadji, Hollandia, Biak, Noemfoor, Biak, Noemfoor, Moratai and last Tarakan. Back in Australia posted to Ransford Mildura and Heidleburg. Notable Units posted to were No 80, 75 & 76 Sqd's. Hospitalised 6 times, 3 being outside Australia. The images are ones that were used in a Power Point exhibition at Dudley House Bendigo from August 25th - 31st August 2008. The Exhibition led up to the 150 years Anniversary Dinner of Defence Forces in Bendigo held re Cat No’s 8193 & 8194.5P The source of the images came from Multiple places including; The Bendigo Advertiser, Bendigo Military Museum, Passchendaele Barracks Military Historical Society, Victorian State Library, Victorian Govt Gazette, City of Greater Bendigo, Victorian Colonial Infantry Association, 15 Transport Sqd and multiple personal files.
