Steam trams operated in Bendigo 1892-1902. They replaced Battery operated trams that could not cope with the hilly terrain of Bendigo. The albums were made to be sold in conjunction with an exhibition of photographs by Allan Doney at the Bendigo Art Gallery in 2001 Allan Doney was an armature photographer who created one of the most important collections of photographs of Bendigo between the early 1950's to the mid 1970's Four identical miniature photograph albums.
