Edward Stone Parker (1802–1865) was a Methodist preacher and assistant Protector of Aborigines in the Aboriginal Protectorate established in the Port Phillip District of colonial New South Wales under George Augustus Robinson in 1838. In 1841 he established the Franklinford Aboriginal Protectorate Station in the territory of the Dja Dja Wurrung people in the Loddon Valley region of Central Victoria. He administered the Franklinford Station from January 1841 to the end of 1848. Parker remained in the Mount Franklin area near Daylesford until his death in 1865. This work was originally published in 1865. This edition was published in 1966. It contains an introduction by Edgar Morrison. Annotated selections by Morrison from Parker's journals form the majority of this work.
