In 1997, Dr Leslie Koadlow received an Order of Australia in recognition of his work as the founder of the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria (formerly the Rheumatism and Arthritis Association of Victoria). In 1994, the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria (AFV) awarded the Ararat Arthritis Support Group with the Mollie Riches Award in recognition of the group's efforts to raise public awareness of the Foundation's work.
