His father and mother, George Gervasoni and Annie (Pedretti) Gervasoni, lived for many years at 31 Albert Street, Daylesford. Jack and Mary (LaFranchi) Gervasoni then lived in the same house until their death. Mary Elizabeth LaFranchi was born in 1906 at Mount Prospect, the daughter of Alfred Andrew LaFranchi and Mary Blain. On 11 April 2017 Education Minister James Merlino and Wendouree MP Sharon Knight visited Federation University to unveil designs for the new Ballarat Tech School where students will be able to grow their trade skills. Ballarat Tech School will focus on science, new energy technologies, food and fibre, advanced manufacturing and information technology. The M.B. John Building on Albert Street will be refurbished at Federation University SMB Campus at an estimated cost between $6 to $10 million. The fifteen partnered schools are Ballarat Christian College, Ballarat Clarendon College, Ballarat Grammar, Ballarat High School, Ballarat Secondary College, Ballarat Specialist School, Damascus College, Daylesford Secondary College, Federation College, Loreto College, Mount Clear College, Phoenix Community College, St Patrick’s College Ballarat and Yuille Park Community College. Wedding dress worn by Mary Monica Fleck Turner on her marriage to Albert Smith in 1926. Turner CollectionClothing associated with early Kilmore families.Cream silk "Flapper" knee length sleeveless dress with plain scooped neck. Neck & armholes bound with same fabric. Curved low waist seam. Hem finished with same bias binding. Evidence of machine stitching on both sides altering bodice from underarm for 26cm. Formerly had sash with bow - both missing.
