Frances Allen was a graduate of Melbourne Kindergarten Teachers College and became the first kindergartner to work in a children’s home (White Hills, Bendigo). She also established the first country kindergarten at Euroa. The undated talk records Alva Allen’s first hand memories of Billy Hughes and Robert Menzies. There is also an unusual reference to Gough Whitlam “living down Stevenson Street way”. The Kewriosity Sheet (1979-83) was first published in the City of Kew (Victoria) in June 1979 as a two-sided 'community newssheet'. It aimed to: 'share news about Kew happenings and Kew people, and to exchange ideas about living in Kew'. Later issues gradually evolved into a 4-page, quarto sized publication.
