A family history written on the Pope family including Samuel Pope, a blacksmith of Blackburn, who married Sarah Jane Bedford, daughter of a local Box Hill farmer. Samuel was a Shire inspector for Box Hill in 1894. Pope's estate auction notice and maps are included in the book. Bedford Street is named after Sarah's family. It includes family trees, photographs and descriptions of their children. Many of the family are buried in Box Hill Cemetery. index.
