This item was donated by Signalman Rodney Laurence Gallagher (3793958) who was with the Royal Australian Corps of Signals and served in Vietnam with 110 Signal Squadron from July 1969 to June 1970. Rodney was also a National Serviceman.A Brief Overview of Conscription for Vietnam which was introduced by the Menzies Government on the 10th November 1964 and terminated by the Whitlam Government in 1972. Patricia Agnes Penrose (nee Rattray) OAM Convenor Australian Women's Army Service, Royal Australian Corps of Signals.
