Bella Vista was built by Edmund Boulter in 1903. It comprised two large buildings with a walkway linking the balconies at second storey level. Views of Westernport and Port Phillip Bays could be seen from the rooftop lookout. Bella Vista was reputed to accommodate eighty guests. Lake Tyers House built 1886 by R Krokel of Bairnsdale as guest house and stop over being on the coastal road to Orbost and Merimbula. 'Nithsdale' built c1890 by Barke Brothers, early storekeepers of Lakes Entrance, occupied by William, John and Mrs Jane Barke (mother). After c1920 lived in by members of the Coate/Symmons families. Later sold to Zagami and Crea, then lived in by Richard and Marlene Rijs in the late 1970s/early 1980s.
