Eaglehawk Brass band was established in 1884. At Christmas 1885 the band appeared in their new uniforms of which this hat plume was a part. The uniform was made by Mr William Cameron, tailor. These were the first uniforms to be made locally in this district. The band wore them again at the Myers Flat Boxing Day Sports event.Borough Brass Band 1896. In 1862 James Northcott established Northcott's City Band. Following his death in 1904, Oscar Flight took over the band and renamed it Flight's City Band.
