Telegram, 15th September 1872
Edward Buckley died at Newbridge in 1878, a resident for 17 years. He established and operated a flour mill (Lancaster Bridge) which was sold two months after his death. A large lot of papers, including this and other telegrams, were apparently found in the ceiling cavity of the Sandy Creek/Tarnagulla Post and Telegraph Office in the later 20th Century, during building works. Donald Clark Collection. Telegram sent from Tarnagulla Telegraph & Post Office. From Edward Buckley, Newbridge to Mr L Fraser, Baker, Sandhust. Message reads 'Please tell my Teamster to bring Malt from Kangaroo and oblige by giving him Four Pounds for freight'.
