This record incorporates many aspects of family life in those years including during the depression and mentions local families and business people. The interview follows an article written by Mrs Evans titled 'Green Thumb' published in the 'Active Retirement Magazine', November 1997 (see ND 152) CHECK. Interviewee provides a personal account of Mitcham from the 1920's including the development of essential services and the residential and commercial areas.
