The inscription on the back of the photograph indicates that it is of Chris Stratton, his brother Bill and his mother. This is most likely Christopher John Stratton, 1862-1906. His mother Johanna (née Bentley), widowed in 1863, married Archibald Ferguson shortly afterwards, and the "brother" is likely to be Archibald's and Johanna's son William John Ferguson, born 1866. This is possibly Christopher Stratton who lived at Linton and died in 1863, however it is more likely to be his son Christopher John Stratton, who was born at Linton in 1862 and died in 1906.
