The de Havilland Australia DHA-3 Drover is a small transport aircraft that was built by de Havilland Australia (DHA) in the 1940s and 1950s. TAA received the first two of its eventual three Drovers in 1952 - the third in 1956. The Drover became one of the types of planes used by the Royal Flying Doctor Service in the 1950s. TAA operated from its inception in 1946 as a Federal Government owned airline until its merger with Qantas in 1992.This postcard is one of five TAA airline postcards which are in turn part of an album of postcards which date from late 19th century to mid 20th century.
