The Bete Bolong School was one of the many small schools in rural areas of East Gippsland. These schools developed during the first half of the 20th Century and functioned until bus transport in the 1950s,60s. brought the children to more regional schools at Orbost. This photograph is significant because it shows the pupils of Bete Bolong School in 1941. A b/w copy of a school photograph. Two rows of children standing, and a front row sitting.
