Y's Menettes club was established in Bendigo Kangaroo Flat 24th February 1973. It was one of four Menettes clubs in Bendigo. The other clubs were Bendigo, Lansell and Kangaroo Flat. The Y's Menettes were originally an offshoot of the Y's Men's Clubs. They are linked to the YMCA and aim to promote Christian principles, Youth activities, international good will, community needs, personal development, enjoyment of life and information sharing within the network. Monthly meetings were held in members' homes and later on in YMCA meeting rooms. The tablecloths were used when new members were inducted and their names were added to the cloth. The tablecloths were used at the monthly meetings. They were used at the yearly changeover of office bearers.The Y's Menettes were originally an offshoot of the Y's Men's Clubs. A cream cotton tablecloth with plain hemming. The embroidery uses the YMCA colours or red, blue and yellow. The tablecloth has a machine decorative hem stitch The YMCA International Men's Club logo is embroidered on the tablecloth. The club's name and Foundation date is beneath the logo. Due to declining membership and increasing age of members it was decided to disband the Ys' Menettes clubs in Bendigo in March 2024Cream satin banner and embriodery in red, gold, blue and green. The cord and tassles are in gold and attached to a hanging rod.
