Part of the "Kenneth William Hesse", RAAF No. 41144, Collection. Service record: Born 14 August 1909 in Petone, New Zealand. He was living in Bendigo when he enlisted in Melbourne on 13th June 1941 at the age of 31 years and 9 months. Initially he was mustered as an Electrical Fitter. on 12th October 1944 he embarked from Townsville for overseas service on Goodenough Island. He returned to Townsville on 20th October 1945 and was discharged on 8th November 1945. On discharge he was a Sergeant in No. 3 Radio and Installation Unit. Foolscap size, cardboard covered book with facility to add pages. Pages and covers secured with black cord tied to allow pages to be added. Cord passes through three holes punched in both covers and pages. 434 foolscap size cream coloured pages with cut edges. Text on pages in black type.
