It was made by Herbert (Bert) Lingard for his wife Sybil for whom he made nearly all of her dresses and coats..|Herbert, William Lingard was a tailor whose business 'Lingard Modes' operated in the Manchester Unity Building, Swanston Street, Melbourne, C1949.
