... Esther Hore nee Doubleday...Esther was born in 1881, married in 1904 to Dick Hore. They had 8 children all born in Albury. They farmed at Gundowring and then in about 1924 bought the Bogong Hotel in Tawonga. The hotel was very popular with visiting artists eg. Harold Herbert, Charles Wheeler and Sir John Longstaff.and stayed in the bungalows. Lord Baden Powell, founder of the Scouts stayed during 1931 and 1935.
