During National Arthritis Week in 1996, the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria (AFV), incorporating Osteoporosis Victoria, held a "Making Life Easier Expo" at its headquarters in Elsternwick. In attendence was the Minister for Health, Victoria, the Honourable Rob Knowles. In this photo, AFV Physiotherapist, Valerie Sayce, leads a chair-based exercise routine during the Expo. Assisting with demonstrating the exercises are members of the Joint Action Group (JAG) and the AFV's Jenny Davidson. According to a brief article which appears on page 2 of the Vol 9 No 2, Winter 1996 issue of the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria's quarterly magazine, Arthritis Update, the Minister also helped to launch a a video on the day, titled "More Exercise Beats Arthritis".COL photo of a woman, standing.
