The Neighbourhood Policing Forum was run by a Victoria Police panel and questions were taken from the audience throughout the event. The forum explored topics including: Current crime trends and crime prevention Young people Family violence Road policing Drugs and drug related crime. At the time of this forum, Victoria's 2025 total incident crime rate was on the rise at 4.0% whereas Brimbank's 2025 total incident crime rate was 9.6%*. The confidence rating for the Victoria Police Force had also fallen to 55%. These forums directly engage with local residents and services. These sessions are designed to build trust between the police force and the local community, share local crime data, and allow the community to ask questions and voice safety concerns. 8 Crime rate = (Number of crimes ÷ Population) × 100,000.
