"Recruit training, both aged about 19, Felix (left) died in a single vehicle accident soon after his return from service in Vietnam with the SAS. Motor accidents were a problem for servicemen after 12 months of adrenalin, then normal on return."This series of paintings was created by Robert E D'Arcy, who served as a Corporal in 8RAR in 1969-1970.The images are from colour photographs taken by the artist, each being an interpretation of the snapshot.
