The fishing boat "Amaryllis" was built by the Haldane Brothers in 1935 on Griffith Island for their own use while they were lighthouse keepers. The boat was a well boat RFB 1260 on the Port Fairy register 1936 - 1943 in the name of W.H.Haldane She was owned and operated by the brothers until she was requisitioned by the armed services during 1943.
