This Flectalux 1000 MLA is a photography light made in West Germany and used in studios in the 1970s. The lamp was marketed under the Flectalux brand which was known for durable and precise lighting instruments Halogen lamps are used in film production to create a warm, bright light which is similar to daylight. This was donated along with other photographic equipment by a former member of the Museum committee who had a strong interest in photography.This photography light was owned and used by a local person and was made by a company which is significant in photographic history.
