The St Kilda/Port Melbourne and Queens bridge are in view, but not the Spencer St bridge which was built during the late 1920s. The AW Allen's Limited Confectionary Factory constructed in 1923-24 on Riverside Avenue dominates the landscape on the south side of the river directly behind the dome of the Flinders Street railways station. Taken from St Paul's Cathedral steps. Has a small part of the Princes Bridge Station building on the left hand side. The Swanston St canopy of Flinders St station has the words "Cross Crossings Cautiously". A W class tram is northbound while an S or T class tram is southbound while another single trucker is west bound to Spencer St in Flinders St. The trams in the photo were used prior to 1944. All W class trams were converted to W2 class prior to 1944 and the single trucker westbound had been scrapped by then. Two photos of widows with a handcrafts stall at Flinders Street Station in 1990. Widows met regularly at Legacy House for craft gatherings lessons. Some of the items the Widows produced were entered into an annual craft contest and exhibition. Many items were also donated to the annual Badge Week stall that widows organised. The stall was often outside Legacy House but in these photos from 1990 the stall was set up at Flinders Street Station. There is an advertising board on the railway station verandah, advertising Liberty Loans.
