The Mayor, Cr. T. R. G ...ClippingFollowing the proposal at the previous council meeting to enter into negotiations for the purchase of Bedford Park Estate, comprising 26 acres, situated in Bedford Rd., Ringwood, the Mayor and the Town Clerk interviewed the trustees of the estate and the Mayor submitted to the meeting the price and conditions under which the property could be purchased. The Mayor, Cr. T. R. G. Williams, said the negotiations had been most satisfactory. The land was offered for £2,000, with £250 deposit and £250 per year, with the balance payable at the end of five years. The estate would prove a valuable asset to the borough, and could be used for a high school and a park. -
