G.C. Meader Pty Ltd was a prominent aerated water manufacturer and proprietor of Franklin & Co., located in Balaclava, Victoria. Their original bottles are famous for the distinctive "Moon face looking through a glass" logo. H. Presser was a regional cordial and aerated water manufacturer operating out of Murtoa, in the Wimmera region of western Victoria. As soda syphons were expensive to manufacture in the early 20th century, bottles were reused. Apparently H. Presser bought out Meader's surplus or asset stock and had the Murtoa business name and "HP" initials sandblasted or etched onto the alternate side of the bottleGlass bottle with red and black plastic top, with spout, lever and tube. Words and a motif are sandblasted into the glass. On one side of the bottle: Oval shape containing, at the centre, an outline of a smiling face. Above the face: PROPRIETORS OF FRANKLIN & CO.
