"The Gem Supply Stores," were general grocery and "mixed business," selling household staples at competitive prices. The stores operated between the late 1920’s and mid1930’s and were located at 149 Nelson Place and 28 Douglas Parade, Williamstown. The proprietor, Thomas G. Marr, later became the postmaster of Williamstown Central and led the formation of the Williamstown and Newport Anglers’ Clubnelson place, gem stores, c. 1930's
