However, wild dogs and difficult terrain eventually ended this. In 1938, timber workers established the Cathedral Mill near the junction of Little River and Storm Creek. The mill was later renamed Cooks Mill and supported local milling operations through the 1940s and 1950s, supplying sawn timber to the Healesville railway station and Melbourne builders. ... Healesville line opened on 1 March 1889. The last steam train on the line ran in 1957 and the last passenger service was in 1980. The line reopened as a tourist railway in 2010. Although the photo was taken on a misty day, houses in Windsor Crescent can just be seen in the background.
