Herald Learn-To-Swim Campaign Certificate ...Alison Watson was the daughter of Peg and Harry Watson of Cromie Street Murtoa and would have been seven years old when this certificate was granted at the Murtoa Swimming Baths. The Baths were adjacent to Lake Marma and filled with water from the lake. There was a wooden pontoon in the centre of the pool which was removed for swimming competitions. Alison's father was the swimming coach at the time - 1956.A rectangular light blue/green certificate with navy blue writing with letters highlighted with white accents. There is an illustration with Neptune, a mermaid, and a dolphin at the bottom centre with scrolls on either side.The applicant (Alison Watson); the location (Murtoa Baths); the date(6th January 1956) the local president (N.T.
