Major Smith was the Commandant in charge of 'Kormoran' Seamen Camp 13 Prisoner of War Camp Murchison. He was award the Military Cross, British War Medal and Victory Medal in WWI. WWII medals were awarded for his service at Murchison, War Medal 1939-45 and Australia Service Medal 1939-45Wooden frame with glass.
