Forest Hill Rotary Club was chartered 1975. Past district governor, Ford Davis is a member. A major project is maintenance of an orchard at Berwick with more than $100,000 donated to charity. The club has started 6 Probus Clubs in the area. The story of the Petrov (spy) affair that happened in Australia during the Cold War. Petrov was a Third Secretary of the Soviet embassy in Canberra; the role was to recruit spies and ensure that none of his countrymen defected from the Soviet Union.
