In 1965 Janet Hubbard worked on a children’s holiday farm called Ponyland in Osbourne Road, Christmas Hills. On this property was an old timber building with timber shingled roof, which had been a Cobb and Co staging post. Janet made a sketch of this building and also took a photo at the time. The property was owned at the time by a person named McLeod who later demolished the old building. Originally owned by Janet Hubbard's grandmother, the book was later passed to Janet, who added her own handwritten birthday entries during childhood. The shop the book was purchased from, Buxton's Artists' Colormen Artistic Stationery Company operated opposite Melbourne Town Hall in the 1880s and 1890s. Children's sticker book produced by Marcus Ward & Co., London and Belfast, likely dating from the late nineteenth century. The book contains a colourful collection of stickers depicting a variety of subjects, including insects, animals, plants and whimsical characters. Passed down to Janet Hubbard from her grandparents, Henry and Annie Ziebell, and later donated to Ziebell's Farmhouse Museum by Janet Hubbard.

According to a handwritten note inserted in the volume and dated 22 March 1959, the notebook contains a collection of original German poems written by Charles and members of his family. Engraved silver locket originally belonging to Elisabeth (Elise) Ziebell (née Sprenger) and possibly later passed down to Emma Ziebell. Emma appears to be wearing the locket in photographs reproduced on pages 105–106 of The House that Christian Built. The locket was donated by Janet Hubbard, who has placed a photograph of herself and her husband, Terry, inside, along with a lock of Terry's hair.EZ

This petticoat was originally owned and worn by Annie Ziebell (née Robertson) (1872–1953) and remained within the Ziebell family. In 1967, descendant Janet Hubbard altered the waistband so that the garment could be worn as part of her wedding ensemble for her marriage to Terry Hubbard on 1 December 1967. The adaptation and continued use of the petticoat demonstrates the enduring significance of family clothing and the intergenerational transmission of material culture within the Ziebell family.
