Josephine Gordon McCormick (1925-2009) was active in the Eltham Community, including as a member of the Eltham District Historical Society. Henry Stooke came to Melbourne in 1842, and bought land in Eltham in 1852, building the Rosehill homestead. He was an eminent member of the community. The homestead was later called Belle Vue.
