Making marks with needle and thread across the landscape of life, sometimes treading lightly but often leaving scars. Wandering was inspired by marks left from the eucalyptus leaves on the fabric, a scrap of fabric easily carried, an idle moment to make a few marks with needle and thread. A longer time to stitch becomes a wandering mind, like taking a walk in the bush, deciding on the tracks ahead and reflecting on those already taken.Wangaratta Art Gallery Collection.
