Daryl Lindsay designed the programme of the evening. He was the Curator of the National Gallery of Victoria at the time. The article describes the design: "Mr. Daryl Lindsay made a special drawing for the front of the programmes, picturing a member of a merchant vessel on the bridge of his ship in a gale."
