The Shire of Sherbrooke existed from 1964 to 1994 at which time most of it was subsumed into the new Shire of Yarra Ranges. (Emerald was subsumed into the new Shire of Cardinia.) The emblem of the Shire of Sherbrooke was the lyrebird.
