However, in 1994, Victoria underwent council amalgamations, which resulted in Braybrook being incorporated into the City of Maribyrnong. The suburb of Braybrook continues to attract considerable attention from the residents of City of Brimbank, particularly its historical features, the old buildings and distinctive streetscapes that characterise the area.To capture the essence of Braybrook in 2009, a series of photographs were taken. These images document a range of buildings, street scenes, and other notable points of interest throughout the suburb, providing a visual record of its unique character.5645.01 - Burke St 18 Braybrook - Quang Minh Buddhist Temple 2009.JPG 5645.02 - Burke St Braybrook - Precast Concrete Panels Factory 2009 Photo 01.JPG 5645.03 - Burke St Braybrook - Precast Concrete Panels Factory 2009 Photo 02.JPG 5645.04 - Burke St - Track To Solomons Ford 2009 Photo 01.JPG 5645.05 - Burke St Braybrook - Track To Solomons Ford 2009 Photo 02.JPG 5645.06 - Maribyrnong Valley Braybrook Looking East Toward Peerless Holdings 2009.JPG burke street, braybrook, quang minh buddhist temple, solomons ford -

... Puffing Billy Railway 1 old monbulk road Belgrave yarra-valley-and-the-dandenong-ranges Cordite Wagon - 18½-inch (460mm) gauge wagons came from the Commonwealth Explosives factory at Maribyrnong in Melbourne’s western suburbs. ...Cordite Wagon - 18½-inch (460mm) gauge wagons came from the Commonwealth Explosives factory at Maribyrnong in Melbourne’s western suburbs. Both have gun-metal wheels, as avoiding sparks was understandably a priority in an explosives factory. Both wagons also have water tanks to drip water on the wheels as an added precaution. Cordite, an explosive used in artillery, was manufactured and pressed into thin sheets, which still contained a quantity of acetone solvent from the manufacturing process. The sheets of cordite were laid in racks of perforated trays in the cordite wagons, which were hand-pushed to the cordite drying-house where the trucks were coupled together in rakes and warm air was blown through them. The acetone, being very volatile, was evaporated out of the cordite and recovered to be re-used in the manufacturing process.
